Christ Demands More Money
JERUSALEM—Dissatisfied with dwindling receipts in recent years, redeemer of humanity Jesus Christ issued a rare public statement Monday, sharply criticizing His followers' lack of generosity and demanding a marked increase in their contributions to the long-standing religion based upon belief in Him.
"Historically, I have asked for no more than 10 percent of the total earnings of my flock," said Christ in a 25-minute statement aired on Christian television stations throughout the world, including Trinity Broadcasting Network, Eternal Word Television, and Cristo Telemundo. "But recent cost analyses by my accountants indicate that current donations from my believers are not at this level and are insufficient to meet my earthly financial needs."
Christ underscored his point with an earning/expenditure chart illustrating that in the first quarter of 1997, He listened to an average of 233 million prayers per day while collecting daily revenues of $6 million.
"This works out to just two and a half cents per prayer, which barely even covers my overhead," Christ said. "If this sort of fiscal imbalance continues, I may have to answer even fewer prayers in the future."
"In my Father's house are many mansions," Christ said. "They are not cheap to maintain."
Christ cited Warner Robins, GA, resident Willard Baines as a prime example of the sort of tight-fisted follower with whom He is frustrated.
"Mr. Baines owns a grain-and-feed business that takes in some $800,000 a year, thanks in no small part to his faith in Me. Yet, last Sunday, he put just a single dollar in his church's collection plate," Christ said. "If I am not mistaken, this works out to a donation of just .00010052 percent of his overall gross-adjusted income for the said fiscal period, a far cry from the recommended 10 percent."
"He also lusted after his niece on two occasions," the Savior said.
Christ assured followers that He still possesses a boundless love for all humanity and that those who accept Him into their hearts will know salvation and everlasting life in Heaven, but expressed frustration over the feeling that He has "not, in my estimation, been getting my love's worth in return."
"My love," Christ said, "which passeth all human understanding and shines from the countenance of God our heavenly Father, shall be all you need and desire all the days of your lives. But I do need a reasonably decent budget to make that happen."
Christ told followers that his ancient covenant with humanity—in which He shall act as the people's shepherd, comfort them with His rod and staff, and shelter them all the days of their lives—is as good a value as they are likely to find anywhere.
"It is true that, in this era of downsizing and high prices, it can sometimes be difficult for a person to give unto Me 10 percent or more of their income, and still have enough left over for that new microwave or big-screen TV they've had their eye on," He said."But do not forget that it is almost impossible for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
Christ's most esteemed Earthly messengers are hailing Monday's statement as long overdue."I am pleased that Jesus has delivered this important message to the people of the world," Pope John Paul II said."The Catholic Church must begin collecting more money now if it is to continue to collect money in the future."
Christians worldwide are already responding to their savior's call.
"I guess I could live without a college education," said Owensboro, KY, Christian and mother of four Brenda Williams, 34, who recently dropped out of community college after donating to her church over $1,500 she had saved for tuition. "Some of my science courses contradicted the word of God, anyway."

This work of deflecting money into spiritual channels in order to satisfy the spiritual needs of humanity is part of the work of the ninth seed-group, that of financiers and economists. Since the Institute for Planetary Synthesis is concerned with the work of all ten seed-groups, the creation of the Fund was felt to be compatible with the aims and activities of the IPS. The Fund is therefore to be considered as a department within the Institute for Planetary Synthesis.
In the words of the Tibetan Master, "this problem is a peculiarly hard one, for the spiritual workers of the world have not only to train people to give according to the need and their means, but in many cases they have first of all to provide them with a motive so magnetic in its appeal that they must perforce give; they have also to provide the trust, foundation and organisation through which the money given may be administered." (Externalisation of the Hierarchy, p. 623)
"Billions are needed to bring about the re-construction of human affairs and thus purify and beautify our modern world to such an extent that the Christ can appear among men; through the wise expenditure of the financial resources of the world in the many fields of human betterment and uplift, the Christ will be enabled to 'see of the travail of His soul and be satisfied'." (Discipleship in the New Age, vol. II, p. 226)
The guiding principles at the basis of the activities of the Fund are summarized in the following words of Master Djwhal Khul:
"A great campaign to raise money is not demanded, but the selfless work of thousands of apparently unimportant people is required. I would say, my brothers, that the most needed quality is courage; it takes courage to put aside diffidence, shyness and the dislike of presenting a point of view, particularly a point of view connected with money. It is here that the majority fails. It is relatively easy today to raise money for the Red Cross, for hospitals and for educational institutions. It is exceedingly difficult to raise money for the spread of goodwill, or to secure financial sources and the right use of money for forward looking ideas, such as the return of the Christ." (Extemalisation of the Hierarchy, p. 629)
"Money has been deflected into entirely material ends, even in its philanthropic objectives. The most spiritual use now to be found in the world is the application of money to the purposes of education. When it is turned away from the construction of the form side and the bringing about solely of material well-being of humanity and deflected from its present channels into truly spiritual foundations, much good will be done, the philanthropic ends and the educational objectives will not suffer, and a step forward will be made. This time is not yet, but the spiritualising of money and its massing in quantities for the work of the Great Ones, the Disciples of the Christ, is part of a much needed world service and can now make a satisfactory beginning; but it must be carried forward with spiritual insight, right technique and true understanding. Purity of motive and selflessness are taken for granted." (idem, p. 61)
"Let us hope that it will be possible to change the thought of humaniy where money is concerned so that it will be regarded as a great spiritual asset, as a definite spiritual responsibility and as a means to do real world work. The custodians of money will then shoulder their responsibility without fear and with due understanding. At present they hold on to it through fear of the future and distrust of each other... As money has in the past ministered to personal and family need, so in the future it must minister to group and world need. Groups in the future must act as magnets; they must see to it that they are animated by a spirit of love. Need, love and magnetic power are the three things which - consciously or not - attract money." (Discipleship in the New Age, vol. I, p. 272)
The aims of the Fund are to promote the hierarchical works described in the book "The Externalisation of the Hierarchy", p. 641. Here is a summary of these aims: 1. Spreading world prayers such as the Great Invocation, the Lord's Prayer, the Gayatri, etc., as a preparation for the reappearance of the Christ. 2. Extending a triangle meditation network of individuals or groups, as already done by the Arcane School. 3. Promoting service activities set up by the Masters. Among these, the World Goodwill movement set up by Master Djwhal Khul in 1932, is the best known. 4. Spreading the books written by the Masters of the Spiritual Hierarchy. 5. Making known the importance of the Wesak Festival and of the other Full Moons in the year, as the basis of the future world religion. 6. Discovering the members of the New Group of World Servers and strengthening their hands (global networking).
The funds collected by the Fund will be allocated to projects aimed at carrying out any of the above works. However, the Fund will not concern itself with the following: 1. The acquisition of movable or immovable assets, including building construction; 2. Assistance with the normal budget expendi-tures of associations or organisations; 3. Support for projects of a commercial nature; 4. Support for research of a purely academic nature.
The Fund is managed by the Executive Committee of the IPS, assisted by professional consultants whenever necessary, according to paragraph 5.5 of the Statutes of the IPS. The duties of the Executive Committee as regards the Fund are:
* to prepare the budget and book-keeping;
* to prepare the annual report and other work reports;
* to make decisions on the allocation of funds to projects on the basis of the guiding principles, their conformity to the above mentioned aims, their ability to satisfy a real need and their feasibility. Decisions are made if possible unanimously, otherwise by simple majority vote. The voting may also be conducted in writing if all Executive Committee members consent to it unanimously.
Finances
The revenues of the Fund come from voluntary contributions, donations and grants in the form of gifts, inheritances and legacies. Resources of the Fund may not be used outside statutory purposes. No person may be given the privilege of expenditures which are contrary to the objectives of the Fund or of unproportional high compensations. The members are not personally liable for the financial obligations of the Fund.
The IPS may apply for financial help from the Fund for specific projects related to the six hierarchical works, as may any other groups or associations, but its requests will be considered on the basis of the criteria set up in the Fund's Statutes, without any preferential treatment in relation to other groups also applying for help from the Fund.
The dissolution of the Fund follows from a meeting of all members of the Executive Committee of the IPS, called for this occasion at least one month in advance, voting the dissolution with a two third majority.
The liquidation of the Fund affairs after resolved dissolution is carried out by the Executive Committee of the IPS or a trustee authorised by the Executive Committee.
The final Statutes were approved at the General Assembly of the Institute for Planetary Synthesis at Wesak 1990 and amended at the General Assembly in 1992.

I have never trusted voices in my head, even though they were never forcing me...today I had a funny experience, I was having my magic potion and all of a sudden I was completely gone from where I just got my coffee and when I opened my eyes, I had moved 6 miles away into a park. That wasn't funny, since I had to walk back those 6 miles, since my bike was at that psychiatric Hospital...darn, I can still feel my feet....

I step into the vana, and I will find me fruit, maybe some roots or a friendly gardener who lives nearby and offers me coffee with cookies.
